POSITION DESCRIPTION

Swaggerty Sausage Inc. Co. is seeking experienced stand-up forklift operators to work 2^nd or 3^rd shift in Kodak, TN. Forklift experience is required.

Starting pay is $19.00 an hour (including a $4.00 attendance bonus).

Shift differential for second and third shift is an additional $0.50.

Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Complete Forklift Operator Training and renewing every three (3) years
Pass E-Verify authorization.
Have good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by the employing agency.
Must be authorized to work in the United States

RESPONSIBILITIES

Move controls, devices and levers to drive forklifts of industry to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading and storage areas.
Organizing and securing stored materials.
Loading or unloading materials manually, off or on to pallets.
Performing routine post and pre-inspections to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
Reporting to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
Consulting, working and coordinating with supervisors, managers, equipment manufacturers, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations.
Wrapping material loads with a wrapper and making clean the warehouse premises.
Pick, pull and stage orders as needed.

Must be able to repetitively lift and pull 50 pounds.
Comprehend instructions and retain information.
Work Environment
Fast-paced environment
Tolerate a temperature of -20 degrees year-round.
Employee must wear slip-resistant shoes, gloves, bibs, jackets that are rated for freezer, and knife.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
