Sausage Casserole with Rice & Macaroni
- Crumble sausage and cook in skillet until brown, then drain on paper towel.
- Cool rice and macaroni according to package directions.
- Combine all ingredients and place in 2 quart casserole dish.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Green and red pepper both may be used for color.
This dish freezes well. Freeze before baking.
½ cup Swaggerty’s Farm sausage
½ cup rice
½ cup macaroni
½ cup chopped sweet pepper
1 to ½ cups tomato juice
1 cup American cheese, grated
3 TBSP butter
Pinch of sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
