Safety and Training Coordinator

Swaggerty Sausage Inc. Co. is seeking a motivated, eager, full-time Safety and Training Coordinator to join our team in Kodak, Tennessee. The Safety and Training Coordinator performs and assists the Safety/Training Supervisor in all assigned duties. 

  1. Conduct new hire orientation classes as assigned.
  2. Provide safety training to employees.
  3. Maintain Safety documentation and files.
  4. Perform safety walk-thrus and follow-up inspections.
  5. Assists the Safety/Training Supervisor in all assigned duties as needed.
  6. Proactively pursue education and certification in Safety. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  3. Performs training in all categories (new hire, LOTO, Annual, forklift refresher, etc.)

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some overtime may be required.


  • A high school diploma or GED is helpful, but not required
  • Must speak English
  • Preferred, but not required, bilingual English & Spanish


  • Previous computer and Microsoft Office experience is helpful, but not required
