JOB DESCRIPTION
Excellent opportunity for a talented, self-driven experienced Accounts Receivables (AR) Clerk to join a leading pork sausage manufacturer that provides, quite possibly, the best tasting sausage in America. To be considered, Candidates must have 3-5 years of related experience within a lean manufacturing food production environment. SAP Skills a plus.
 
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the AR Clerk position is to plan, organize, administration, communications, and building and maintaining an open and trusting relationship with brokers, customers, and the Company to promote optimal business performance.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review all deductions for appropriate documentation and request final approval on any new or unknown deductions prior to directly applying amounts to customer's invoices. 
  • Review all incoming payments for appropriate documentation and match against customer's invoices prior to applying amounts within SAP. 
  • Assist with all customer/broker inquiries and provide feedback under the direct guidance of the Customer Service Manager. 
  • Maintain all AR reports, Deduction spreadsheets and corporate AR files. Report weekly updates to both the Customer Service Manager and Director of Business Operations on any outstanding AR related issues.
  • Prepares/scan all incoming payments and deductions for proper storage/filing, to include organize and associate customers' invoices for proper application within SAP. 
  • Prepare analysis of AR for a weekly review by the Director of Business Operations. 
  • Assist corporate officers and administrative personnel and answer incoming calls, as needed.
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-4 years' experience in an accounting or administrative environment. 
  • Must possess maturity, strong business ethics, professionalism, leadership skills, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Human Resource Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of the Human Resource Manager position is to plan, organize, and lead organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, recruitment, compensation and benefits administration, implementing and developing policies and programs, communications, and building and maintaining an open and trusting relationship with team members to promote optimal business performance.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Align the Human Resource department with the company’s vision, mission statement and core values. 
  • Being responsible and accountable for all Human Resource functions, including, but not limited to staffing, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and leadership support and development.
  • Partner with the leadership team in developing and tracking execution of a strategic HR plan, ensuring alignment with organization priorities.
  • Translate the organization’s needs into HR strategic and operational plans establishing key metrics and performance tracking processes – KPI’s, STIP Goals, labor cost analysis, etc. Report quarterly and annually.
  • Oversee workforce planning and talent management processes to identify and address competency, knowledge and talent gaps. Areas of emphasis include staffing, talent development and succession planning programs to ensure the organization is prepared to meet short and long term goals.
  • Develop and execute in partnership with team members actions to maintain and improve employee engagement.  Strengthen core competencies with fact based research and training.
  • Provide coaching and guidance regarding employee management and individual development plans.
  • Continually assess the relevance of HR programs and practices and to streamline operations.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provide consultation to managers with respect to performance management, employee development, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Benefit administration for all employees – medical, dental, vision and supplemental plans.
  • Ensuring and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations and employment practices such as FMLA, Drug Free workplace and others.  
  • Assisting in the interpretation of company policies and procedures. Proactively ensuring that company policies are administered in a fair and equitable manner.
  • Partnering with operations and training management, developing, administering and conducting training and development programs.
  • Monitoring the salary administration and performance appraisal process, ensuring timely adherence and review for appropriateness and completeness.
  • Partnering with leadership to design and implement effective communications and recognition programs.
  • Lead and develop the Human Resources department, to strengthen competencies in leadership and organization development, compensation administration, HR systems, and talent management.​
  • Champion the Employee Handbook revisions and publication
 
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • 3-5 years experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment with hourly workforce and expertise in a lean manufacturing environment.  
  • High Performance Work Teams experience desired but not required.
  • SPHR certification preferred, but not required.

Forklift Operator

Swaggerty Sausage Inc. Co. is seeking experienced forklift operators to work in Kodak, TN.  Forklift experience is required.
 
Monday through Friday with an occasional weekend.

Responsibilities
  • Move controls, devices and levers to drive forklifts of industry to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading and storage areas.
  • Organizing and securing stored materials.
  • Loading or unloading materials manually, off or on to pallets.
  • Performing routine post and pre inspections to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
  • Reporting to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
  • Consulting, working and coordinating with supervisors, managers, equipment manufactures, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations.
  • Wrapping material loads with a wrapper and making clean the warehouse premises.
  • Pick, pull and stage orders as needed.
